Dianne Zemanek

I am so excited to be joining the Hoonah Braves Team as the Arts Director. This is a fantastic supportive community. Last school year I finished up 15 years working for the Juneau School District. Prior to that I worked 11 years in the Chatham School District. I have taught K-12th grade over my 26 years teaching in Alaska and always taught with culturally responsive focus.  Southeast Alaska is my home. Coming from a midwest farm, as a kid, I have fallen in love with the mountains and ocean and all its bounty. I enjoy working with students of all ages and learn, from each and every one of them. Thank you for teaching me so much, and giving me a place to learn and grow while we share a rich culture of art together. Gunalchéesh
